9/11 Mastermind Tried to Destroy the Maple Leafs

Suspected 9/11 mastermind Khalid Sheikh Mohammed confessed to sabotaging the Toronto Maple Leaf management over the last 30 years. The Pentagon had released a 26-page transcript of the closed-door proceedings on Wednesday night. Some material was omitted, and it wasn’t possible to immediately verify details.

He admitted being behind the banishment of Leaf greats Dave Keon, Darryl Sittler, Lanny McDonald, and Frank Mahovolich. In addition, he suggested in the transcripts that he insisted that the Leafs unload draft picks for fading veterans (Owen Nolan, Brian Leetch, Ron Francis, Phil Housley, Doug Gilmour) going into the NHL lockout with the full knowledge that the Leafs would desperately need young cheap players in the post-lockout period. Mohammed indicated his greatest act of sabotage was unloading a 1st round draft pick (who turned out to be Scott Niedermayer) for useless Tom Kurvers.

I'm SO glad that someone noticed that he's taking "credit" for everything that's happened in the last, like, 20 years.....what a Terror Showboat, eh?
