As is usually the case, Toronto was spared the worst of the winter storm. Outside the city, things aren't as good. Two sections of the 400 are closed because of accidents and the slush is going to freezed as temperatures drop.
Speaking of dropping temperatures, the City has called its first extreme cold weather alert of the season. The alerts usually start in December (and when temperatures hit -15 or lower) but the fact most street people aren't yet acclimatized to the cold led them to initiate the early warning. Readings overnight are expected to hit -10C (14F) but it will feel much colder with the wind.
It's getting really windy out there.
