Parents of the Year

So your 16-year daughter tells you: "I’m sixteen and I can do what I want. I’m leaving home with my 36-year-old lover."

Do the parents:

A) Tell her "no, you’re only sixteen" then call the cops on the guy.

B) Kick the ungrateful teenager out and then call the cops on the guy.

C) Invite the boyfriend to live with them so they don’t "risk losing their precious child."

As one of the commenters pointed out, the parents might have started worrying a little earlier - say when they found out their young daughter was going to pubs. I guess stranger things have happened though. My mother met my father when she was 16 and they are about to celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary. Go figure.
