If there is any hypocrisy about this whole week of Palin coverage, it is how she is using her family for political game and then knocking the media for taking shots. At least that's the impression I got watching her tonight. She spent 10 minutes talking about her family and less than 5 minutes on her accomplishments as governor. I just didn't get a good feel about it.
This Britol business is bugging me even more. Sarah Palin supposedly allowed Bristol the choice to keep her baby. They were free to make that decision. And the governor is, supposedly, "proud" of her daughter's "choice." But, if Governor Palin's rhetoric is to be believed, no one should be allowed to make that choice in the first place. The Palins have painted this as a decision, one made, as anyone's would be, in line with their religious convictions and their family's values and their personal consciences. So again, if this was a real choice between two or more options, then what did she choose between? Having the baby and....?

having the baby...and giving up for adoption. I'm pretty sure that's what Palin meant.
I know your country is too far gone, but this lady might be the only thing keeping my country from the same loss of family values, character, and courage that Canada voted away so long ago. I don't understand the Canadian obsession with politics, especially the US's, but that obsession has caused all of you to loose your identity and attach it to politicos that will do anything they can to bloat the government more so that you don't have to do anything for yourself. Sarah Palin's family, warts and all, is the closest thing to reality that a presidential capaign has offered since Harry Truman. We don't want Canada's socialism and you don't want our form of capitalism. WE GET IT! So let's call it a stalemate and let us get back to defending the free world.
I think I'm gonna puke.
