Jews are never safe

The terrible assault on the Nariman House in Mumbai is just another example of how Jews are always being targeted. Certainly there were others targeted but the Jews are always singled out. Nariman House is one of some 3,000 centres run by the Hasidic Jewish group, Chabad Lubavitch, in 73 countries. Any Jewish people who happened to be in Mumbai knew it was the place to go to find kosher food and a warm and comfortable environment to nurture Judaism. It was not unusal for up to 30 visitors in an evening.

There is nothing political abut Chabad Lubavitch. Nariman House was a place of worship. But it is a perfect example of the dilemma for Jews in the Diaspora. You are never totally safe. And it is why support for the state of Israel is so important. Yes I know I'm sounding like I'm about to start an Israeli bond drive. But Israel was created in response to the Holocaust where European Jews were being liquidated and there was no safe refuge for those trying to escape.

In Mumbai some more Jews were martyred this week. Only because they were Jewish.

Maybe if they didn't try to erase the palistineans the muslims might just might sit down and maybe talk to them. It could be a possibility. It's kind of like the american indians talking to the europeans. Don't you think? Or not?

There is an old saying, if the arabs would put down their guns, there would be no more wars, if Israel puts down it's guns, there would be no Israel.
Ain't that the truth.
