The media has picked up on this story about the multi-millionaire owner of the Segway company who died in a freak accident yesterday when he rode one of the high-tech two-wheel machines off a cliff and into a river.
Former miner Jimi Heselden, 62, plunged into the River Wharfe while riding around his West Yorkshire estate in Boston Spa on a rugged country version of the Segway.
Police do not believe the death to be suspicious.
Huh? Who did they call in Inspector Clouseau? Segway's have a top speed of 12 mph. How do you have enough time to jump off the gizmo that moves as fast as a five year old on a tricycle? He owned the company but didn't know how to operate one? I think someone duct taped him to the Segway, let it go over the cliff with Jimi on it and then removed the tape at the bottom. How's that for a theory?
